Our Commitment to Accessibility
GetPepWell, Inc. ("GetPepWell") is committed to ensuring that our telehealth platform and digital services are accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities. We believe that every patient deserves equal access to healthcare services, and we continually work to improve the accessibility and usability of our platform under our obligations as a healthcare provider, including effective communication requirements under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
We welcome feedback from our users to help us identify and address accessibility barriers. We take all reports seriously and prioritize remediation of issues that block access to clinical features.
Conformance Target
GetPepWell targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
We are actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all areas of our platform. We acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully conform; these are listed under "Known Limitations" below. We audit our platform on a recurring basis to identify and resolve accessibility issues, and we treat clinical-feature accessibility regressions as priority fixes.
Accessibility Features
Our platform incorporates the following accessibility features to support users with diverse needs:
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements are operable via keyboard alone
- Logical tab order is maintained throughout the platform
- Visible focus indicators are provided for all focusable elements
- Skip-to-content links are available to bypass repetitive navigation
Screen Reader Support
- Semantic HTML5 elements convey page structure and content hierarchy
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes are used where needed to provide additional context for assistive technologies
- Form fields include programmatically associated labels and error messages
- Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked appropriately
- Dynamic content updates are announced to screen readers using live regions
Color and Contrast
- Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA color contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and non-text elements)
- Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information, status, or action
- User-agent dark-mode preferences and high-contrast browser settings are respected where applicable
Responsive Design
- The platform is responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Content reflows properly at zoom levels up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Touch targets are sized appropriately for mobile interaction
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, the following areas have known limitations that we are actively working to address:
- Third-party integrations: Authentication, payment, and telehealth video components from external vendors may have accessibility limitations outside of our direct control. We work with our vendor partners to advocate for improved accessibility in their services and to provide alternative access paths where possible.
- Telehealth video consultations: Real-time video calls require audio and video capabilities that may present challenges for users with sensory disabilities. Patients who need an alternative consultation format (such as live sign-language interpretation or an asynchronous text-based visit where clinically appropriate) can request accommodations using the contact information below.
- Document accessibility: Some legacy PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We remediate documents as they are identified and prioritize patient-facing forms.
- Captioning of multimedia: Educational videos and product walkthroughs are progressively being captioned and transcribed; some legacy items may not yet have captions.

Technical Specifications
Accessibility of the GetPepWell platform relies on the following technologies in conjunction with current browsers and assistive technologies:
- HTML5: Semantic markup for document structure and content
- WAI-ARIA: Accessible Rich Internet Applications specification for enhanced widget and interaction accessibility
- CSS: Cascading Style Sheets for visual presentation, respecting user-agent preferences where applicable
- JavaScript: Client-side scripting for interactive features, with graceful degradation where possible
For the best experience, we recommend recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge with up-to-date assistive technology software.
