Nondiscrimination Statement

GetPepWell, Inc. ("GetPepWell") complies with applicable federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate, exclude people, or treat them differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

This nondiscrimination policy applies to all programs, services, and activities provided by GetPepWell, including but not limited to telehealth consultations, prescription services, patient communications, and all aspects of our digital platform.

Protected Categories

In accordance with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other applicable federal and state laws, GetPepWell does not discriminate on the basis of:

  • Race: We provide equal access to all individuals regardless of race or ethnicity
  • Color: We do not discriminate based on the color of a person's skin
  • National Origin: We serve individuals regardless of their country of origin, ancestry, or primary language, and we provide language assistance services as described below
  • Age: We do not discriminate against any person on the basis of age (note: our services are available to individuals 18 years of age and older, which is a clinical and legal requirement, not a discriminatory practice)
  • Disability: We provide reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities, as described below
  • Sex: We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex stereotyping

Language Assistance Services

GetPepWell provides free language assistance services to individuals whose primary language is not English, to ensure effective communication and equal access to our healthcare services:

  • Qualified Interpreters: Oral interpretation services are available at no charge during telehealth consultations and when communicating with our support team. Please request interpreter services when scheduling your appointment or contacting support.
  • Written Translations: Information written in other languages is available upon request for key documents, including this Notice, the Notice of Privacy Practices, consent forms, and other essential patient materials.

Auxiliary Aids and Services

GetPepWell provides free auxiliary aids and services to people with disabilities to ensure effective communication and equal access to our healthcare services, including:

  • Accessible electronic formats for documents and communications (large print, screen reader-compatible formats)
  • Qualified sign language interpreters for telehealth consultations (please request at least 48 hours in advance)
  • Captioning or transcription services for video consultations when available
  • Alternative methods of communication for individuals who have difficulty with standard audio/video telehealth formats
  • An accessible website designed to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines (see our Accessibility Statement for details)

How to File a Grievance

If you believe that GetPepWell has failed to provide the services described in this Notice, or has discriminated against you in any way, you may file a grievance with our Civil Rights Coordinator:

You may file a grievance in person, by mail, by email, or by phone. If you need assistance filing a grievance, our Civil Rights Coordinator is available to help you. GetPepWell will acknowledge receipt of your grievance within 5 business days and will investigate and respond within 30 days.

You will not be retaliated against for filing a grievance or complaint regarding discrimination.

Filing with the Office for Civil Rights

You may also file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) if you believe that GetPepWell has discriminated against you or failed to comply with applicable civil rights laws:

Complaint forms are available at www.hhs.gov/civil-rights/filing-a-complaint. Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination.
